Chair – Pete Shergill
Pete has been involved with Community Pharmacy in Sandwell for over 15 years, previously being a member, Treasurer and co-opted member of Sandwell LPC. He now takes the role of Chair, Community Pharmacy Sandwell.
He is also Senior Director of Medicines Optimisation and Chief Pharmacy Officer for Optum UK. He leads the overall strategy and teams working on medicines optimisation products and services provided to the NHS. Pete carries over 15 years of senior management experience in health and IT.
Pete is and experienced pharmacy leader across Community Pharmacy, Social Care, Pharmacy IT systems, marketing, pharmaceutical industry, retail operations and business development. Prior to Optum, he was Healthcare Services Director at McKesson/Lloyds Pharmacy and Country Director with PainChek.
Pete graduated from University of Wales, Cardiff, where he studied pharmacy. His passion is delivering novel and digital solutions to customers in the health and social care sectors.
